  1. From a recent Facebook message it looks like Bruce is specing a Scania, with a Scania representative. Says something exiting will arrive in the summer. It is like a new demo truck Bruce will dispose in the US. Demo trucks is an excemption. Can naturally not take commercial freight.

  2. And still no one can beat the US as the number one economical power of the world. Think of it, Europe, China, they got the advantage of degree celsius, metric stystem, these very very supperior systems, like space tech systems, but still can't beat the US!? I mean, the americans not quite know what temerature they got, or the length of things, as their measureing system is strange. It's like, 'we think it's 78.5 degree fahrenheit today...but we are not quite sure, as our system is a bit different. It could be 76.5 for all we know'

  3. International/Navistar is the US sister company of Scania, and MAN, and would likely take care of the sale. But Bruce could naturally work for them)

  5. To get any sale volume to speak of, Scania had to develop a conventonal style cab, along their cab forwards. They got the capability to do it, but so far not found it economical interesting enough compared to other markets around the world. Some new Scanias are spoted now and then on the US highways, and on test tracks belonging to Naivstar, now their US sister company. They might got plans

  7. The 25 year rule is regarding one can import without thinking about current rules for emissions and so on. It does not mean it's illegal to import a newer truck. As long it complies with current rules, go ahead. It won't be cheap, but that's another issue. @sic22l

  9. Volvo manufacture the VNL truck in the US. f to succeed in the US, one need to offer Us style trucks. US style trucks would be no success in Europe. One need to give the customers what they want @Battlenude

  10. Not so important. If Scania go for the US market, it will be first of all regarding trucks going locally, dump trucks, city trucks. The market for over the road trucks will be more marginal to Scania, even with the longline
