American trucks have in general never been a success as working trucks in Europe. In addition to the length, axles, another issue is drivers comfort, like more noise in the cab than euro drivers enjoy, and old style stick shift and so on. Euro drivers likes high comfort while operating trucks. They envy the large US sleepers cab, but thats a about it.

Sure funnier than export the truck to the Middle East or Africa, where a lot of the trrucks put out of ordinary operation in the EU heads. There is no lack of older Scanias in okay condition

They are 'hobby trucks', to take to shows, like it's also popular with classical US cars. The biggest interest for Peterbuilt and other classical US trucks in Europe are typically in the Nordic countries, UK, Germany and the Netherlands region

Not enough interest and demand, so far, I guess

@poika22 The 25 year rule represent a problem regarding import, sure. If a manufacturer as Scania would decide to go for the US market, they will need to establish a service network and a fabrication/assembly plant in the US no matter what, to go around both import restrictions and import taxes. Even with no 25 year rule, the taxes would made imported trucks pretty expencive, and demand low . The big pictures say, until now, there is not a big enough interst for euro style cab overs in the US as most US truckers 'needs a hood', simply speaking. But things can change.

About everyone into the US truck hobby in europe wants the classical long hoods. They see and/or work with their Euro cab over trucks daily.
