There is a 25 year rule in the US regarding trucks. If an imported truck is 25 or older, it does not need to follw lots of special US rules. If newer, it quikly gets a whole lot more expencive

There is a different for sure. Many US truckers seems to like it a bit more basic, more sound, manual gear change than Europe and especially the nordics where drivers are pretty into having max comfort behind the wheel

From what i remember he has mention something like he know a man in Finalnd that help him with loadng up a container with Scania spareparts to be shipped to the US. We'll get the answer in not too long. He will go to the Scania main factory later in Sweden

this is just a hobby truck, for fun. not allowed to operate as a commercial truck in the US anyway

The gap is mainly due to the unusual long wheelbase of the truck. Guess thekingpin loation on the trailer is not too different from Euro trailers

It's often just to look cool, having a long truck. Most do not have that long distance to thecab or sleeper
