  5. Guess Mercedes could manufacture the Actros, zetros for the Us market, but they do not see enough interest to make it profitable, so far. Freithliner is very wel known brand in the US, with the style US customers are the most familiar with. IT is hard getting into the US truck market with something new

  7. American truckers in general are concervative, they just like the older look. The manufacturers give them old style looks, but wth updated egnine and so on

  8. US 'long nose trucks' imported to Europe are hobby trucks / show trucks, 95%+ of them not used in daily work. In addition to length issues, drivers comfort, noise level, transmission system, and so on, are not up to standard what European truckers are used to and wish for. Yes, large sleepers are great, nobody would mind more space, but there are too many issues with the US trucks. Euro trucks are not sold in the Us because of import difficulties, and US truckers arein love with hooded trucks and their big sleepers.

  9. Both North America and Europe got it's narrow and wider roads, but smaller towns here in Europe I guess often got smaller roads and intersections. Often see in videos the hooded trucks in US having a hard time getting around in cities, neighbourhoods. Cabovers in the US would be great for vocational trucks, like dump trucks, concrete trucks and so on, local transport, intercity, many would appriciate a compact cabover like the Scania in such work

Can be used in the US, but first the manufacturer need to do quite some big job and investment regarding getting their trucks generally approved according to US specs, and likely put up a assembly plant in the US to compete on price. For all of this to happen, the manufacturer needs to see a certain demand,in order to make things profitable. So far the Us truck market is more or less just about hooded trucks. compact cabover like this Sania would be great for vocational trucks, inter city transport

  14. An exlusvie Scania channel will get fewer US viewers. He tries to market Scania to a US audience first of all, and he can do it better by mixing Us trucks and scania in the same channel.

  15. Many prefare operating a 'showtruck', but it is not needed for all tasks, and it does not give higher rates....Feet owners care less about the looks, it's all about the money.

It has only been in the US for 1-2 weeks...It's during 2025 he will take it around for real...For now he just prepare, do some smaller mods..The most important is to show it on videos and present it at shows to the american audience. It is the first new Scania on US soil, that can be seen by US truckers. This is a major event. To someone located outside the Us, and see new Scania's on the road all the time, it's nothing special.

  21.  @YouKnowImRight2  Not sure what you mean and think. Anyway, this is a demo-truck owned by Scania, and it is their first and only NextGen showtruck in the USA. Bruce is allowed to do some minor mods at it, as he wish. His main job regarding this truck is to present, make videos of it and take it to US shows.
