A standard 2024 Scania 6x2 590 hp tractor trailer is about 150K. Big sleepers makes many Us trucks more expencive. I know a new Peterbilt 389 is like 200-250K. I think there is more custom and manual labor invilved that make those trucks quite expencive, while the Scania production possible are more steamlined and standarized. The trucks are quite module based, which further help keeping cost down

About 150K for a standard 2024 Scania 6x2 590 hp tractor trailer. As a custom edition from that workshop maybe ad 10-20K

There are many fans of US trucks like Peterbilt, in Europe, that think they look cool, and Euro truckers envy the big US sleepers. But in Europe these trucks will be regarded more like show trucks for the weekend, while for everyday work on go for the Scanias and others for the high drivers comfort, practicality getting around because of it's short lenght and small turning radious, and more

he is not a proffesional journalist and writer, so isn't 99% of youtubers. He is a trucker/mechanic, he writes and describes things as he feels is okay, even it might not be perfect from the view of a proffesional journalist. Just stop crying about your hurt feelings, nobody cares, try to man up and take it for what it is instead of all the time running to 'mommy to report' lol

About 150k usd for a 2024 3 axle tractor trailer, 590 hp

the US brands have a way to go be more efficient regarding production. The build quality of a Scania is supperior the north american trucks. Not having a big sleeper cuts costs too.

He is all over the red custom T-cab
1
The T-cabs arecoolfor sure. I better like the last factory editon. The square hooded NG types from 3'rd parties I think look a bit strange and off..I guess one either hate or love those) @noelwallace5257

I think many of the big fleet owner would concider cabovers, given additional sleepers. There will always be a group of truckers that never would concider a euro cabover)

Scanias 'sister company', same owner, in USA is International/Navistar. Their dealerships will be used when, and if, Scania decide to gofor the US market. A 13 liter Scania engine is supposed to be offered as a choice in some International truck in the US. Will be cool if Bruce should be involved with some US promotion
1
if so, the US would be filled up with Euro trucks a long time ago, right? The number 1 economical power of the world, with the EU further down the line some where, seems to do alright with the trucks they got

He knows a guy in Finland that will help him gathering spare parts for his Scanias and have them shipped over., as i have understood. He will do other stuff in Finland too, drive trucks and more
1
The day got a limited number of hours. For now he focus at one euro brand
1
Because...Scania does not import new trucks to the US?
1
he is visitng both countries. In Finland he got a guy collecting spare parts for his Scanias, to be shipped to the US

Trucks for the US market got some quite different tech spec, emissions, than many other countries. It will be a quite big cost to Scania to adapt their new trucks to the US. Huge investments, and they are not sure if they can sell enough trucks to over their expences. Something like that have made them focus at deveolping trucks they an sell to many different markets that got about equial laws. Navistar is a partner of Scania in the US, one can try push on them)
1
The International/Navistar brand in the US, are also part of the group, which not many know. So there is a dealer network present that can be adapted to potentially sell/service the euro brands

In general Peterbilts are pretty expencive, like 200-250K usd for a 389 2024. That's like 50-100K more than a new Scania. Big sleepers ad quite much to the cost. I guess Peterbilt is more kind of handbilt compared to a euro truck
1
About 150K for a standard Scania 590 hp 3 axles tractor trailer. That's possible about the same as typical US trucks the fleet owners often runs
1
They got some pretty 'spectacualr' acidents with trucks also. No doubt some high speeds are often involved when looking at videos @TheDmcintosh18
