Hitler is not relevant. Very few dictators dies like Hitler, and suddeny everything is over, that's the problem. Most dictator stays along for a long time, they have time to find someone following them, and they often represent countries of millions of people, and there is weapons involved. This means one are forced to have a relation to them, live with them as best one can, like them or not, and try follow their steps. They and the problems they represent will not go away if one just put them behind a curtain of silence....This idea of just ignoring them fully, and 'the problem will disapear, 'they will die the same way' is pretty naive.

'The world' also consist of others than 'the west'. The west have done their best to isolate him, while others have a relation with Russia, largely because of economical factors. 'Time' is the only realistic soultion to the Putin issue. No one lives forever. Many dreams about a sudden collapse of the russian economy in near future, but not very realistic. Regarding the war, realistically the best one can hope for, in the short to medium long term, as long as Putin is around, is the conflict gets frozen at about the frontline that have been present for the last year+. Say the west sends x5 more weapons, and the russians get pushed largely out. They will just take a break, and come back again and agian, as long as they got enough money and people to send, which do not seem to be near empty yet. Is it worth it to the western population and economies? This said, I would gladly see Putin gone, but one have to be realistic, not live in a dreamworld. This was possible not the solution to the answer, you got another point of view, and I am automatically 'a liar'. That's fine. Cheers @Theyrewrong827
