Not hard to imagine) In the Kingdoms of Europe today the Royals are just employed by the state, as special national/international ambassadors, with no formal power.

There is corruption everywhere there is people. But it's less of it and harder getting away with it in a country like Norway, than most countries out there

Oil/gas export, mainly. Fossil fuel prices crashed in 2020. In addition slower business, tourism and so on as most countries

give examples

There is no flat rate taxes in Norway. Income tax varies according to level of salary. The total tax level is about at the European/EU average. Makes little sense trying to compare a 14% US inome tax level with a higher Norwegian one that got all healthcare, college, university costs, and more, included

The government and the governing system of the country is the main factor for the high standard of living among the general population. There is a high level of transpancy and low level of corruption regarding the state's finances. The money the State are taking in are spread out again through the whole country for many projects, salaries, pensions, without bigger parts of it ending up in the hands of a smaller group of people/companies, as one can see in different countries. The state's use of their money, combined with the many private companies with income from export, then creates much economical activities within the country. Then is also naturally depend on the people themselves to work and educate themselves. Even people living off the lowest pensions are okay, not rich but got wht they need thanks to the welfare system

Examples regarding citizens of Norway being directly affected by corruption?

Norway needs to import power in periods with little rain and high consumation. It has been like this for years. And especially now that everything is going to be electrified. The problem with ocean windfarms are they are not economical profitable as of today, which means they depends on the state to sponser big parts of it. But if they can build ocean windfarms, sooner or later, it's good, the power is needed

Hint: Norwegian corruption like a 'sunday school' compared to most other countries
