  5. The Germans did not put their foot on Greenland. The Americans occupied Greenland, and the Brits occupied Iceland durng WW2, getting there first to keep Germans away. Denmark was occupied by the Germans. that said, it's good the Us has stayed in Greenland since ww2, kept it and the surrounding region safe. Denmark and Europe are thankful, and will continue coperate with the US in Greenland and NATO, but drop the idea of 'owning Greenland', a territory that wants to be independant.

To the rest of the Goverment it means' we need to be heavier present in Greenland, to better keep the chinese out, build a tighter partnership with Greenalnd'.   16. Greenland gets 50% of their money from Denmark, year after year. 90%+ of people at Greenland are not interested in joining USA. They want Greenland to be independant.

  17. The Us Millitry is free to do what they wish, more or less, in Greenland, according to agreements from the 50's. The US has decreased it's presence in Greenland gradually from the height of the cold war in the 60's, and 10.000 troops and several bases, to the 1 base and 150 troops of today. No one is stopping the US to man back up again. And the Greenland mineral fields has been open for business to american companies for decades. Why 'take it', and get all the fixed cost of dealing with it, including supporting the pplace with 50% of it's budget, when one can rent and get all the advantages at a lesser cost and trouble. Needs 2/3majority in Congress to adopt a newterritory into the US anyway, hard to get some Democrat votes for any Trump project

The US has chosen to reduce their presence in Greenland from 10.000 troops in the 60's to 1 base/150 troops as of today. No one is stopping them from stepping up..And the minerals have been free to American companies to explore, for decades. So far American companies have not opened any operations, but no one is stopping them. Currently 2 mines run by Canadians and EU companies
