  1. There is a different approach for sure, new vs established manufacturers. 'Complex' is the key word, together with 'design', when it comes to make the customers come back for a new car as often as possible, at least for the established German brands. Myself, I see getting from A to B as a pretty simple and basic thing, no need to make it more complex and expencive than needed, so I'm just sticking to my 90's 'everlasting' uncomplex car, without 200 computers on board) Less complexity, less worries. One the other hand, it's great that the public in general are willing to spend their money on new cars, for the enviroment, the traffic saftey, and naturally for keeping lots of people at work.

  2. Elon started a step ahead the others, but everyone did see changes comeing sooner or later with the ever stricter demands from the governments towards petrol/diesel engines. For example Mercedes had some eletric test cars around 1980, but naturally that was way ahead of time it could compete with petrol/diesel

  4. they are mostly doing more intelligent work than using wrenches and welders at the assembly line, that robots easily can do, as programming and service the robots, and so on. The robots makes the workers free to do other tasks
