The Toyota, it is for the Chinese market, a market with a quite different price level in general than the US. If really lucky, it will just be 30-40K in the US. Hopefully I'm wrong.

  6. It's radical. You are missing the concept. Performance is no focus point here at all. They have gone in the opposite direction of most other manufacureres, aiming to offer a basic vehicle instead of complicated one. And the way one can modify, transform it as wished into different variants, DIY, is radical

  12. The basic version is what one need, don't have to touch anything, just drive along. You are talking about another kind of business plan, offering more expencive vehicles. You are fully free to go ahead give it a try. One can put the price at 50K, the average for a new car today, see how that works out

  13. An electric motor, only 1 moving component inside, no complicated gearbox with many speeds, just a couple of gear wheels. One can't make it simpler. A normal engine and transmission consists of hundreds of parts.
