Not forget that the Russians 100% KNOWS that US and western intelligence are following them, and the Russians can partly choose what they like to feed them...
10
as there where any choice at the time...

Don't belive the BS the US President comes up with here. Attaching Kiev, come on...Putin wants an to the conflict in Eastern Ukraine, Donbass, where the Ukrainians have 100K troops, right up to the border. He want's the Ukrainian leadership and the Donbass leadership to sit down and come to some sort of agreement, after 8 years of war. It's the only way, not have the war going on for decades. The russian's movement of troops is a show off.
8
@Rust_Rust_Rust All the movement of the russian troops are show off and putting pressure on Ukraine to go sit down having talks and try end the conflict in eastern ukraine, where the ukrainians got 100K + troops close up to the border. Of course Russia is not sitting quiet in this situation, what going on close up to their front door. Putin is a higly intelligent and tactical leader, don't t dumb nut as many of the western leaders we got. Highly highly doubtfull Putin will do anything dumb, like attacking first.
5
Via the low capacity ferry connection. They can fly food in and corpses out via air, but the majority of supplies is via railway
5
It's Putin's war, not the Russian people's. This will bring so much shame on Russia that a larger and larger part of the Russian population will have had more than enough of the man. I will not be surprised waking up one day and news says Mr Putin is no more. Will be interesting to follow the situation in Russia the nearest years.
5
It's not being strong dumping many thousands bodies onto a battlefield. they are fighting Ukraine, no 50 nations have troops in the war
4
Without foregin knowledge and equipment, Africa's resources would still be in the ground. Sure foregin nations have caused problems in Africa, but also made Africa develop their resources and some moeny coming into the continent, and jobs created. Don't blame all your problems on everyone else. Africa is correctly mentioned as the poorest continent, with regards to economical situation for individual citizens. Sadly. But it will improve. Focus the most at improving, less at blaming all kind of other continents. Yes, Africa is rich on natural resources.
4
And prayers for Russia. Not forget the Ukrainians have 100-150K troops close up to the border too, in eastern ukraine.
4
Age and sickness catches up with all in the end.... Mr Hackman had a long life. Just a 'perfect storm' made them die almost at the same time
3
Praying for Russia. Ref 100K + Ukrainian troops close up to the russian border
3
Many people only have access to the state media outlets and can not do anything else than belive what they are told; the leadership of the neighbour country are neo-nacis and a big threat to Russia. Will not call it 'supportive', rather 'disinformed'
3
We very well understand. Russia is a weak country
3
Sure. Except...if thousands of tanks and other millitary supplies shipped over a bridge. Or a civilan building used as local millitary headquarter or weapons depot.
3
There has been problems in some of the surburbs of France for decades. One simply just avoid those areas as tourist
3
'Russia will win in 3 days
2
That's sadly the facts, but we can not talk loud about it in the western media. Nato and EU pushed too far east, flirting with Ukraine and a possible membership. Putin sees Nato as a real threat, and a Ukraine possible into NATO. He wanted to take action before it was too late, in his mind
2
Maybe arrange with some friend/relative/neighbour to check in now and then...'If not answer the phone after 3 days then do xxxx'. And so on
2
Does this guy work at Pentagon
2
Good people die...sometimes. Atleast they lived their last days as they wished the most, for themselves in their own house
2
Supplied with the slow and low capacity ferry link. There is a good reason why they put all this effort in construction a bridge. If the existing supply link to Crimea was 'very well', no need for a bridge
2
They are welcome to join. I think they possible will experience a bit more minus than plus around it compared to being neutral in 'daily life', more money out the pocket, more issues along the border to Russia, more computer hacking from the russians and so on. But understand the feeling among the people these days
2
That attitude is a problem, will just lead to nuclear war and self destruction. Better option is to keep a certain distance. NAto moved too far into eastern Europe
2
originally the majority of people in all the regions looked at themself as ukrainian, and did not look at russia as a better solution. After Putins guy in Kiev was kicked out in 2014, he started supporting a minority group of rebels in those 2 northern regions and built up a rebellion. Pro ukrianinas started moving westwards, and by time those regions technically were to be rebellion regions. Those 2 regions in the south were less pro russia, more of regions that Putin wanted out of strategical goals and forced himself into, they being close to Crimea . With the war many people did flee out of those regions, and russians and together with local pro-russians was the basis of of the voting. Among Putin's reasons for attaching all these regions are to keep Ukraine in a dispute over land, which teoretically is a no-go regarding becoming a Nato member, and to create a buffer zone for Crimea
2
Poor neighbourhoods. Angry if the police distrubs them doing crimes.
2
'I couldn't avoid buying it. They tempted me, it's their fault, the nazies, they did it, not me. Putin'
2
Large part of russians lives in the past, where ww2 was 'a couple of years ago' and nazies in the west again build up and prepare to invade 'any day', much thanks to the nonstop state propaganda. Dicators often like to try justify to their people why they have to be 'rulers for life'. Big parts of the country's incomes goes to millitary and in the pockets of a small elite, while large part of the people lives in powerty. The excuse is Nato/nazies wants to invade anytime. Only Dear Leader in Moscow can save the people from destruction. And large parts of the people 'buy' this. Intelligent people moves out of the country, left is the simple minded, and poor
2
Poorest continent, looking at the private economy of individual persons, and countries. Sadly. the world is thankfull for the raw materials exported from Africa, that ads to raw materials from other parts of the world.
2
Beautiful evening..RUINED!
2
Some few people, about 3-5
2
One have to go into their profile, and report them there, 'spam', write troll/bot
2
Nothing special...Much stranger things happens..There are, for example, families where several members are born the same date and so on
2
The bridges had been targeted from June on. Got too difficult in the end to bring in enough new supplies fast enough
2
Family feud. Big brother vs little brother, not friends anymore. Ukraine/Russia have a long and close history. Countries further west are more stangers, different culture, not 'family', not in Putins spotlight other than the fact Nato got troops there
2
yes. explosion leading to structural failure. From underneath. Sea drone
2
Seems so. He was very reduced, not fully aware of his suroundings, maybe not having his medicines, that the wife took care of him getting, and so on
2
'Nato coming too close' is first of all an excuse for Putin and his regime to use in their punishment of former mafia member Ukraine, which decided to leave 'the Family'. Putin loosing control of Ukraine in 2014, by his guy getting kicked out, has been a pain to Putin.
2
Smart and resourceful people are moving out of Russia, left is more of the poor and 'simpler minds'. that's how the dictators likes it I guess
1
anyone can fly a drone. It is well known knowledge in most parts of the world
1
At Tesco looking for soup. Will be right back.
1
What is lies? Russia is not at war anymore?
1
Russia is a country at war. It's war actions near the frontline. the bridge is a important military target.
1
lol...special table bridge operation
1
Putin knows Nato and USA very likely will show up personally in Eastern Ukraine if he blows of a nuke in any direction. He do not want that. He enjoy scaring about nukes, but not so keen on getting some in return when he fires first
1
ok. so he do not care of his country, he would rather be in a beach in Bahams, but he just keeps on fighting because the west force him to.
1
All news that is not to our taste is naturally fake
1
@johnm9092 No, both sides of the story is out there. It's just to go to the aggressor's news for their side of the story. Don't see the problem.
1
Putin have felt threatened by NATO moving further into eastern Europe with troops and weapon systems the last years, and there has been flirting with Ukraine concerning a possible membership. Putin had enough and did not want to wait for the outcome, a possible future placement of Nato deep into ex-soviet land. He want a regime change in Ukraine, to end the war in Donbass, and keep Nato away from Ukraine for yet some years
1
Intelligence knows excatly what is coming in via the bridge, and other lines. Ukraine can not vaste ammo the way the invaders can, and chose their targets with better care. The mental factor is also important, telling the occupiers tey can't relax and feel too safe
1
Mention 6 civilians on a bridge, in a country at war. 100.000 troops and civilians both sides have been killed during the war. It's mentioned now and then
