  7. the russians focus at the ex-soviet countries, where 'their people' are, the slavic people. They have little to no interest in 'non slavic europeans', people with a quite different culture and mindset. However, the russians could theoretically try to put NATO on a test, by temporary enter their territory and see what happens. Sweden will likely not be the first choice, rather a Baltic country, or maybe Svalbard in the Barents Sea
