Greenland is half way indenpendant at this point. It's not correct as Jr states, that the Greenland people are stopped form having some minerals not extracted. Greenland decides fully themselves over their minerals. It's the governemnt of Greenland that do not want to see mining for uranium, due to risk of local pollution. The Greenland society is shaped and run according to the Scandinavia social democrat model, there is a quite large distance to the Us political model.   12. Greenland is as big as the 'Louisiana deal', which was about the whole US mid-west. Numbers are correct, and what they talk about, but they simplified and just put a figure of only the state of Louisiana. At the world map Greenland look much bigger than it really is, it's just map tehnicalities makeing countries far away from equator bigger than they are. One can look up 'real size of countries' and get a map where onecan move Greenland into the US, for example and get the correct size
