  1. In order to keep prices that low, there is minimum heating of the building. Probably they turn the heat up a bit in the rooms that have guests, and turn heat off in rooms not used. When no guests check in/out, or breakfast, I guess the few staff sit in a small heated room behind the reception somewhere

  2. Very very few tourists naturally, but enough local travelers to keep the business going I guess. And that's the price level they need to keep. That's says something about there must be some competition in this city)

  3. Why do you expect people that barely have money for food and clothes to start big renovation projects of building structures, just to make you feel a bit less uncomfortable watching a video for some minutes?

  4. Their roads crosses now and then. I guess it's nearly impossible to make plans and dates...they probably get in touch some few days ahead

  5. That's typical sovjet style architecture) A lot of these buildings left all over ex-Sovjet.They rather keep them, as it would be too expensive building something new in many cases.

  6. They are real experts in Belarus to save on energy. It's all about keeping costs at a minimum.
