Скажите мне, все эти мужчины, гуляющие по торговому центру, в то время как наша дорогая матушка Россия находится под большим приставанием крайних нацистов? Почему они не встают и не помогают нашему дорогому лидеру спасти страну от полного разрушения?

The look possible also can be due to the general skepticism many russians have to be on camera. SThere are thousands of foreginers in Moscow, nothing unusual to the people there. But some locals naturally do not like westerners too good these times, following the russian media
3
The central bank have kept the economy and currency up at an 'non disaster' level until now with use of diffeent tools, but can't keep it going forever
2
you are more correct than you know
2
Web shopping is big in Russia to. These big tool shops are great for the part of population which are not so into online shopping, better like it the traditional way, and sometimes one need stuff 'today'
2
They get the basics, both in Mosow and smaller cities, an issue is prices has gone up for a lot of stuff, and Moscow/St Petersburg got the highest salories and is the biggest market for the more expencive products
2
Welcome to the propaganda free country of Russia. LOL.
2
Don't ruin the guy's day..) Making videos in some supermarket in the biggest and by far richest city, 'look, milk, meat, filled up store, everything perfectly normal. All of the country, no issues whatsoever' :)
2
Most of this equipment is left behind, Ukrainians to move to other area, not worth the risk bring along
2
Russia is etnically very mixed, lots of different regions. In the 2 cities of Moscow and St Pete is the big part of the country's wealth concentrated, at a reatively low percentage of the ountry's inhabitants. There is the european Russians; the 1'st class, then there is the rest, the 2'nd class. This large mall in Moscow for the small perentage of rich/middle class is not representative. But sure, it looks great
1
Caught up in a marriage I suppose
1
Officially the West is 'very bad'. But unofficially the west and english is cool.
1
'Yeah but, no but, yeah but, Russia is extremely nice and peacefull, everything is very normal and very successfull, there is enough food in the shopping centers, and good parking'
1
Why? the display is very typical state propaganda, want's everyone to see what they have captured, all russians, all the world. The more cameras, the better
1
@Linda-jj2rzzzz

Whateveer makes you more comfortble, go for it)

This setup could be effective towards shoplifitng in the US. On the other hand maybe stores are worried about the regular customers thinking it would be unconvenient not able to pick the goods themselves. Personally I would had no issues shopping in a store like this
1
Outdated models much of it,replaced by newer versions in the countries of origin. Sure, the millitary budget is a good part of different countries total budget. It has a cost, and it's decided to spend that money
1
It's much outdated models that they can give away/do not miss:)
1
Much of it is fake, made in china. But some companies still there, via 3'rd party
1
You need luck. Lots of luck regarding your statement 'wages, real income, are roughly same in all countries', as in purchasing power. Wait. Let me correct. You need H*LL of luck;) @HECKAKYH-ADEKBATEH
1
Extremely civilized. Especially very helpful to their neighbours, donating them very big amounts of metal.
1
Maybe read the youtube rules before posting
1
Everything looks safe and orderly in a big mall in Moscow, while they invaded and got busy killing off their neighbours 500 miles further south by the tens of thousands for no obvious reason other than making the Russian empire bigger. One can't avoid but loving these people
1
Did Russell travel to a friendly, or unfriendly country, that is the question. Hopefully it was a friendly one!
1
Access to milk, bread, butter in malls is no indication of anything. Their problem is foregin money, investments and export value decreasing and it's long term implciations on jobs, salories and so on, this is conerning 10, 20 years ahead in time, nothing happening overnight.
1
Junkies, homeless people, and people who generally protests towards the government are quite quickly removed from the streets. Not seeing much of junkies, homeless and criminals in the streets is postive. On the other hand some people experience other kinds of issues living in an authorterian state, that will make the junkies and homeless of the streets of the US not be so unbearable after all if one put freedom high. Feel free to move there and give it a try
1
Most of money spent is to be used for millitary purpose anyway
1
When people in foregin countries write 3-400$ / month, it's is meaning 300-400. @ekaterina2375
1
Sanctions hit the economy over time, years. Consumer spending, manufacturing, investments down. Many higly educated young people leaving, workers getting out. 'Everything looking good on the surface' Sad, not like to see it, but it is what it is.
1
Stuff can go in via 3'rd party companies in countries that are not directly involved in the sanctions. And many things are made in China, with different brand names put on ot. It's hard to make many of the sanctions hurt, as there are often ways around them. Sanctions generally can take many years to make an effect. An bigger effect of the sanctions over some years may be less high paid jobs with foregin companies left, and less foregin investments
1
Ok
1
Much of it left on the battle field, smaller or bigger breakdowns, not worht the risk to try bring back
1
@lightspeedtheory They want to see russians sitting in the street crying 'oh, sanctions are making our lifes so baaaad, can't buy Nike shoes, please stoooop, ' or something. Guess the Russians are used to hardship, there is always some crisis going on but most move on do the best out of things. Policitcs they can do much about other thn shut up, better than going to prison
1
It depends, somewhere free, other places pay There are variatons like in any country
1
Just stay clear of 'anti regime political and millitary stuff' and they don't care.
1
Russia is doing very very good, there is milk, butter, bread and tea in the supermarkets. Actually Russia has never done better as they have even replaced McDonalds. Rus.
1
Did cost millions when new. Much here is older models, can do the job, but repplaced by newer stuff in the countries they come from
1
The effects of the sanctions and lot of big companies redrawing out of the country is something that will build up over years, much of it not directly visable to someone walking around in a foodstore as of today. Retail consumption is down like 40% in the country 2021 to 2022, manufacturing down, investments down, hundreds of thousands of highy educated people, and normal workers moved out of the country. What a mess they have made for themselves, all over some potato fileds in their neighbour country
1
A nice shopping mall in Moscow, the richest city in the country, is not representative for the general population. But still, it's a nice shopping mall
1
What you're doing in the US? Or what are people doing anywhere but Russia? Russia is extremely nice and peaceful.
1
We can't survive the day without supermarket videos!
1
Russia is doing very very well, there is 23 different types of milk in the supermarkets, butter, bread, T-shirts. People are moving in from all over the world, foregin investments increasing rapidly.
1
but their rulers will not let you play with them, as you can give them 'unhealthy' ideas. Watch the guard dog! Keep clear!
1
This is not about shops and milk, bread, butter. The problem is potential long term effects on the job market, salories as foregin investments and value of export is dereasing over time. We're not talking about 2-3 years, but 10-20 years. Possible China will, and are stepping in, as a savyor
1
The shopping mecca of the world. All the sanctions on high technology products for industries certainly not stopping the supermarkets from offering bread, salads, shoes, jeans, sugar. It is an amazing country.
1
On the surface things good)
1
the people living in them
1
He supports the country where he stays. But likely have a wider view of things than the locals who only got state propaganda to listen to
