  2. Sanctions hit the economy over time, years. Consumer spending, manufacturing, investments down. Many higly educated young people leaving, workers getting out. 'Everything looking good on the surface' Sad, not like to see it, but it is what it is.

The effects of the sanctions and lot of big companies redrawing out of the country is something that will build up over years, much of it not directly visable to someone walking around in a foodstore as of today. Retail consumption is down like 40% in the country 2021 to 2022, manufacturing down, investments down, hundreds of thousands of highy educated people, and normal workers moved out of the country. What a mess they have made for themselves, all over some potato fileds in their neighbour country
