  1. I just went to the annular in New Mexico to practice with some gear for the total. The total in 2024 will be my 6th eclipse. If you want to be completely prepared for 2024, you should look at my two tools. My app is called Solar Eclipse Timer. It was the #1 eclipse timing app used in 2017. It geolocates for you, calculates your exact contact times, and then talks you through the eclipse. I have a new feature in the app called Photographer's Mode, which I developed with Fred Espenak.
