  2. Why is our universe fine-tuned for life? | Brian Greene ~~~ Why is the puddle the exact shape for the hole in which it sits? It was 'fine tuned'? Same idiotic unsupported question. When you can demonstrate the the Universe IS 'fine tuned for life', THEN you can ask 'why'. Until then, that is no more than a foolish assumption sans any evidence scientifically or philosophically. No more than just another 'belief' infection.

  3. Reality is all-inclusive! This is Reality/Truth as I see it; To Exist is to be perceived. To be perceived means to Exist. Nothing exists that is not perceived, nothing is perceived that does not exist! Thus, Existence is ALL-inclusive! Reality is predicated upon Existence! Thus, Reality is ALL-inclusive! Truth, being predicated on Reality must, also, be ALL-inclusive! Now, unless one can sustain a valid argument against what seems to me a Universal definition (Occam at his finest ;), it is no longer reasonable to question whether (fill in the blank) does or doesn't exist. Everything exists! Thus, logically, God Exists. And Faeries, and unicorns, and dreams, and.... everything else! ;) "And he actually never at any point addresses the widely recogized "hard problem" of how human brain activity seems to give rise to consiousness" ~~~ It doesn't. The 'hard mind vs body problem' of idiot western philosophers derives from Descartes's failure of his "Cogito..."! The very simple truth that "I think, therefor YOU are!" proves that Descartes' initial search for 'Universal Truth' had failed. He never crawled from the Pit of duality. Thus the foundation of his (and 'western) philosophy' fails, thus... Until the update. The critically updated version of the 'Cogito' is; "Thoughts are perceived/appear, therefore an apparent 'I' to think 'I am'!" Thought = Ego = Duality! Pit transcended!

Why is the water fine tuned to go into the hole? Your basic assumptions cannot withstand the examination of critical thought. It's just another irrational 'proof of God' to feed the Faithless believers! Logic and rationality mean nothing to a feeding belief!

The illusions upon which a 'physical Big Bang' is predicated are; 'time' and 'motion' and 'physical things-in-themselves' and 'dimensions'. The common understanding of the 'Big Bang' is crawling with paradoxes when critically examined. A paradox is a sure sign of error, usually an unexamined basic assumption. This is why 'time' theories all lead to paradox except one, there is none. "The Laws of Nature are not rules controlling the metamorphosis of what is, into what will be (ie; Karma, reincarnation, linear time...). They are descriptions of patterns that exist, all at once... " - Genius; the Life and Science of Richard Feynman All 'eternity' at once; Here! Now!! Reality is Holistic, not 'linear'. That means that all moments of Universal existence exist simultaneously. No 'evolution', no 'expansion', no time to exist! The only 'fine tuning' is in your thoughts (imagination), and 'need' to feed your 'beliefs'.

  10. 'Who', 'what', 'where', 'why', 'when', are the questions that lead further into illusion, not out of it. They lead into 'thought' which is 'Ego' which is 'Duality', illusion, and if believed, delusion. Why is there something instead of nothing? ~~~ Your basic assumption is faulty. Why just assume that there is 'something' and not nothing? Because that's how you interpret your personal perceptions? That isn't philosophy, it's idle chatter. In other words: Why does the universe exist ~~~ Again, your basic assumption that the Universe exists comes blasting across the table with no support for such a huge declaration. Philosophically examine your basic assumptions, learn some quantum science and, I suggest, that your questions will vanish with your ignorance! ;)
