It is such a rare treat to witness a person with the capability to think for himself, in this age of plummeting intellect. Real critical thought, real philosophy informed by science! A perfect storm!
Here's my take on the subject;
It appears to me that a very basic erroneous assumption of any 'light' theory seems to be the automatic acceptance that 'light', whatever it is, is 'out there' somewhere, before we perceive it.
When I'm all tucked in bed and go to sleep and dream that I am outside, under a beautiful blue sky with a bright sun above, what is this 'light'?
Is it different than the light that I perceive when not 'asleep' and 'dreaming'?
Are there photons in the night dream?
Where are the photons coming from in my dream?
Where/what is the 'spacial dimensions' through which they race?
Or the 'time' that constrains them?
Since (the One) Consciousness is that which perceives, not some wakeful or sleeping lump of meat, the 'same' light, the same Universe, is perceived by the Consciousness in that place at that time.
The same all-inclusive Truth (Mind) is perceived by Consciousness, whether eyes open or closed, or a toaster at the moment.
