They cannot! It is not possible!

Only the 'belief infested', like any irrational evangelist, would declare that (fill in the blank with anything; God...) doesn't exist. There is, nor can there ever be, any evidence that anything 'doesn't exist'! Everything exists!

@callums1235 Batman exists in thought/memory, movies, literature, poetry, memes, comics, etc... To exist is to be perceived. Batman can be perceived all those ways and more. Everything exists! ;)

@callums1235 The map of the territory exists! Your 'argument' is meaningless, your definition of reality is faulty. There are many things that are real/exist that you cannot point to! Do you need examples or can you find some for yourself? If I slice of all your fingers you will no longer live in ... 'Reality'? Besides, all and everything that you can 'point to' can only be evidenced to exist in your concepts. If you believe that concepts reside in your head, then all your pointing should be to your 'head' (another concept). Sorry, the only Universal definition of "exist" is to be perceived! Everything exists! Occam's Razor has discarded your faulty arbitrary restrictions on 'Reality'. ;)

@callums1235 I'd bet that you cannot sit there, without cheating, and point to New York City! I guess that it isn't 'real'. ;)

@callums1235 1. I never said the map of the territory didn’t exist. A map of my home town exists (I can point to it) but the map ≠ my town. ~~~ Obviously, so? And you cannot demonstrate that you town actually exists outside your concepts. 2. “Your ‘argument’ is meaningless, your definition of reality is faulty.” Do you understand the problems with Aristotelian logic? You should research this before arguing with people. ~~~ Perhaps you might address my real points rather than waving your hand dismissively and telling me to go do your homework. 3. Things you can’t point to that exist: numbers are a good one. “👉4” here you can see a depiction of the number 4. Using the statement “the map ≠ territory” this symbol you’re seeing doesn’t equate to the actual thing or represents. The actual number 4 doesn’t look like ‘4’, it has no form and cannot be pointed to, yet it must exist. An animal can have 4 children for instance, regardless of human observation. ~~~ There is no "actual thing" that you can demonstrate exists. There is no "thing in itself" that can be demonstrated. All we have is 'map' and we imagine a real town. You have to imagine it because it cannot be put into evidence for verification.
