The Real Reasons Why People Become Atheists ~~~ Simple, they caught a 'belief'! The Atheist believes/asserts that God does not exist! He has no evidence to back his assertion, so it is nothing more than a belief, like faeries and flying unicorns. The religionista believes/asserts that God does exist! At least they can come up with some 'evidence', unlike the disingenuous Atheist. A religion is a congregation of believers hosting the same or similar strains of 'belief'. Atheists have their organizations/clubs, also! Religion! The average Atheist is no different than that which they appear to despise! Gotta love the irony! ;)

@stubbwinkley4015 Everything exists! To be perceived is to exist. Leprechauns exist in your mind (so you could write this), in your post, in artwork, in folk tales, in literature, in movies... Plenty of sightings! Everything exists! Just like unicorns! ;)

@stubbwinkley4015 The only place that anything exists is in Mind! The only evidence of anything existing is as concept/memory/mind. There is no, nor can ever be any evidence for the existence of things 'in themselves' not needing an observer for existence. That which exists is perceived, that which is perceived exists, all inclusive! But it isn't "my" mind, there is only One Consciousness/Mind.

@iamsheel If that flying spaghetti monster didn't exist, it would not exist in your thoughts to make it exist on this monitor to exist in my thoughts and the thoughts of anyone else reading this. There's plenty of evidence for your monster as I've heard folks talking about it for many years. ;)

@stubbwinkley4015 There is no 'your' mind, there is One Consciousness/Mind; This is Reality as I see it; 1) All that exists is One Consciousness/Mind ('God' if you like...). Beyond this not anything else exists. 2) We are all unique momentary Perspectives (Souls) comprising the One Consciousness. 3) That which we, collectively, 'perceive/reflect' (are Conscious of) is Mind/Memory/concepts (the little bit before us at the moment). "God cannot know himself but by me!" - Meister Eckhart The critically updated version of the 'Cogito' is; "Thoughts are perceived, therefore an 'I' to think 'I am'!" Thought = Ego!

What is Atheism? ~~~ All the evidence seems to point to Atheism as being a belief that God does not exist. A religion is the congregation of similarly infected believers. Atheism is a religion! This belief is not founded on any evidence or logic, unlike the believers in God (at least have their 'evidence'). Atheists are disingenuous, trying to disguise as Agnostic (which is intellectually honest, unlike Atheism).
