@karlwalters6975 it was. There were race curfews and it was segregated. Furthermore, Africans were expelled from lands to open up space for Europeans.
1
@siervodedios5952 the people actively dispossessed do.
1
@NemesisEP1 wealthier than it was at least.
1
@shadow6543 Ian Smith was in favor of permanent segregation.
1
@daviddavidson2357 fifty out of sixty-six seats in parliament were reserved for Europeans. Everything you've typed is nonsense.
1
@daviddavidson2357 and every single country in the region bar none is wealthier than it was during colonization.
1
@daviddavidson2357 enough of this delusory nonsense. 1969 constitution reserved seats based on race theorizing in the distant future it would be split 50/50 when the European population had increased to at least half. All the while segregation would be maintained. Until the next 1 000 years or however long it would take, the 50/16 split would be maintained.
1
@daviddavidson2357 no. You're literate, you can easily look up stats in the '60s without me spoon-feeding you and compare them to today. And how dare you defend governing a people in their own country without their consent?! Who were the Europeans to determine who would be in government?! Cognitive dissonance for wanting your country back from people who had forced you into reservations and who you didn't vote for? That according to you is the same as the UK's full franchise electing a South Asian? Ireland does export a lot of waste, doesn't it?
1
@daviddavidson2357 they weren't allowed in the same facilities. Children could not attend the same schools. They couldn't live in the same neighborhoods. There were race curfews. And as you know the government was structured around race.
1
@daviddavidson2357 GDP per capita wise, Zimbabwe is wealthier. And no, Southern Rhodesia exported tobacco and chromium chiefly, not foodstuff. Zimbabwe is still a major producer of tobacco. In Southern Rhodesia, most people lived as hand to mouth farmers. Zimbabwe is literally wealthier.
1
@daviddavidson2357 whether World Bank or Statista, any figure you would find is adjusted for inflation. The dollar year is posted.
1
@daviddavidson2357 you are willfully ignorant. Situpas were in use for decades prior to the war and the Color Bar was the rule of the day.
1
@daviddavidson2357 there were droughts in Southern Rhodesia.
1
@daviddavidson2357 and it's not advanced, just wealthier than under European occupation. Not sure what the wheel has to do with it but China never invented the wheel either.
1
@daviddavidson2357 the wheel was invented in Mesopotamia or the steppe and spread throughout the globe. Sub Saharan Africa like the Americas was isolated and adopted it upon contact. If we include Kush, it was adopted since antiquity. Educate yourself before speaking.
1
@daviddavidson2357 your ignorance is so comical. Wheels used in the Americas and Australia?
1
@daviddavidson2357 then recommend it for your own people and leave Africans alone.
1
@daviddavidson2357 Rhodesia, obviously.
1
@kazam3527 compare urbanization rate, literacy rate, per capita income and child mortality rates.
1
@stephenadkison8254 and go ahead my redneck friend, list them.
1
@lishnyak1925 not ports, not history, not presence of external forces? So North Korea is poorer than South Korea because of genes. You're a baby.
1
@lishnyak1925 Asians in America are wealthier than white Americans. How can they live in harsher environments than black Americans? White Americans are wealthier than black Americans. How can they exist in similar environments? You just make stuff up.
1
@lmaololovsky why do you even sympathize with some insignificant racist rogue state?
1
@lmaololovsky why do you even support Rhodesia?
1
@Jon-wl4bz anti European, how?
1
@lmaololovsky not my question.
1
@lmaololovsky Rhodesia lost.
1
@lmaololovsky what was so beautiful about an oppressive state?
1
@lmaololovsky Rhodesia was poorer than Zimbabwe. In per capita income, literacy and urbanization this is evident. If you think this it seems you're describing yourself.
1
@lmaololovsky yet you refuse to verify it. Southern Rhodesia saw more poverty and food insecurity than Zimbabwe.
1
@lmaololovsky you didn't. You just repeated yourself.
1
@lmaololovsky I don't have to but you should take up more reading and less Internet baiting.
1
@lmaololovsky find something better to do. Trolling should be beneath you.
1
@lmaololovsky all these countries are wealthier than they were during colonization and minority rule.
1
@jaredmaxwell9225 Africa was much poorer in the 60s. Read more than Internet comments. You might learn something.
1
@Carnefice and why couldn't they leave them alone?
1
@Carnefice not that I took you seriously before but this really takes the guess work out with you.
1
@Griff00 why? The "internal settlement" was just an illegal occupation of settlers acting with a few hand picked minions against the wishes of an electorate they had abused for decades.
1
LittleDolfie you're a Neo Nazi?
1
LittleDolfie you're a neo Nazi?
1
LittleDolfie you're a neo-Nazi?
1
LittleDolfie you're far right?
1
LittleDolfie no.
1
@georgechristie9464 The country was split into white and black areas.
