I watched a video i think from youtuber Covert Cable who researchers military. He says Russia has approximately 3000 tanks that could be operational not all functional most outdated from the Soviet Union. Most of there tanks have succumbed to a natural demise.

Do you honestly believe that the USA which spends 700 billion a year on military who has been at the fore front of every major war, an has the largest production of military hardware world wide by a considerable amount is suddenly running out of ammo. @karlharrison2449 if Ukraine keep it to small force interception combat an not a full frontal assualt they will gain back ground an keep causalities down to a minimum. Depends on how they play their tactics. Unfortunately for them air domminace is not a option. Nor is sending in large tank battalions supported by infantry an artillery. There best tatitic would be take ground set up a forward operation base. Set up long an short range artillery. An send out small groups of men to locate enemy positions an artillery strike them. The small force of men should try to set up traps an obstacles to slow a retaliation strike. Or prevent it. It would be a slow process. But one bound to work.
