  1. Overall concept is intriguing The calculations correct. In a sterile environment. Glad you brought up a few of other issues. Especially climate change. Even smaller installations cause micro climates, and major environmental impacts. When your talking parabolic mirrors. Your talking about ambient air temperatures of 900 degrees Fahrenheit. Enough to set birds on fire in flight overhead. Not at a concentrated point but over a good percentage of the space. Not too mention. The desert is not dead. Solar has it's place. But it does not scale up that well. When it does. Environmental impacts are on par if not worse than fossil fuel. The big push to build an Edsel is foolish. Especially when there there's only a goat path to drive it on. First things first.
