January 6th resembled that occurrence of local government interference in capitol security response. Plus dereliction of duty by speaker and top congressional leaders and Sgt at Arms. Again D.C.'s creation was to keep it independent of any state and it's possible bias to any federal government in power and it's ability to govern itself under federal jurisdiction not Statehood, in order to defend and secure itself, not relying upon a state. It's a security issue. The left's claims that crime in democrat run areas aren't that bad is based on their attempt to relabel or redefine crime. Just because you say carjacking isn't a felony, or theft will not be prosecuted does NOT mean the crimes or their severity don't exist. Ignoring the problem doesn't make it go away. Opening up prisons and freeing convicted criminals just you can claim your incarceration rates are down or not prosecuting criminals doesn't mean crime is down, but this is exactly what they're doing. That is unless of course it effects them. Then it's multiple law enforcement agencies and task forces and millions of dollars allocated overnight to deal with it. This is at least in my state a criminal offense, Aggravated OUI. It has a mandatory license suspension plus, jail time as well as satisfactory completion of Driver Education Evaluation Program and most likely 2 months or so if drug counseling. Plus fines, fees etc. Again it's a criminal offense, a matter public record. If this just disappears people need to start getting fired and charged. As well as investigations into personal finances.
