First they blamed the governor elect who is not even in office yet. Then to blame drivers. As stated, most of the real world has no option. Go to work or don't get paid or fired. Granted there is driver culpability here. But 30 hrs to clear a federally funded highway that the state collects enormous sums of money for, for maintenance and upkeep is inexcusable. This is just incompetence and mismanagement on the state level. This is not like a snowstorm in Florida or Louisiana. Snow in Virginia is not a rare event. There are at least a dozen things that could have been done to mitigate damages . Especially if they new a big storm was coming.
