  1. . Companies/corporations have always had an interest in political issues. But usually kept it to matters dealing with their specific business. This woke crap of businesses of corporations jumping in an arena they ( in my opinion) have no business in. Needs to end. Their self governing status should have been at least reviewed/modified decades ago. You have to realize too. This is a foreign business trying to influence state laws that have little to bearing on Disney Land. When I say foreign I mean foreign to Florida and U.S.. Take a look who owns controlling shares? Same thing should have happened to Delta when they started up with Georgia's voting laws. Democrats and the left are using taxpayer dollars to fund private businesses that are their political allies and target political opposition. Tesla is a fine example. Not even included in the "EV Summit " meeting. Now DOJ investigating them solely because of Musk's Twitter offer? Really? No one said squat when Washington Post was purchased. Find it ironic and hypocritical that the democrats and the left screaming about rich and big corporations paying their "fair share". Unless it's one of their political allies. These companies lobbied hard and paid plenty( some that is considered highly suspect if not flat out illegal). For their "special status" or special exemptions. The underlying premise of these deals is that the community/state will benefit MORE in the long run. Causing or contributing to division in a state population you have no real stake in other than what amounts to a storefront. On subjects that have little or no direct bearing on your business is not beneficial to the community and state. Nor is it good business practice. If they want to jump into a fight that they should only be watching. Then don't be surprised if they get ejected or evicted. Don't forget. These companies came out with an unsolicited threat. Wasn't just an unwanted or unsolicited opinion. They were statements saying they would actively challenge the very foundations of our government. People and state's right to govern themselves through due process. This challenge also costs the community and state huge amounts of money. Again not beneficial. Sometimes its wiser to be neutral or know the difference between being a spectator and root for a side. Than jumping into an arena you have no business being in. Florida governor and legislature have this right. Disney and it's shareholders are on the wrong side here. They've opened up Pandora's box on this one. State's have every legal right and should review special exemptions or status. Better off having republicans do it than democrats. Don't believe it? Look at Detroit, Chicago, LA, NYC, Pittsburgh etc etc. Again, look who owns Disney Land, then think about it.
