  1. Former administration was actually trying to track the mortality rate caused by lockdowns. The numbers were staggering. Spikes due to inability to get basic healthcare, mental health issues, drug related issues. Inability to even get out and excersize for some. Financial stress, poverty due to loss of jobs. And weight gain as stated is a major factor in overall health. The long term projections were horrific. Meaning their method of staying safe was almost as bad if not worse than the virus itself. This administration and media buried it. To the point where renowned scientists were censored by the likes of Fauci, government and media. E mails are confirming this. We were criticized and demonized for having the nerve to try and stay healthy and live a semi normal life. Ironically those that were censored and their suggested approach are now what they are trying miserably to implement. But of course they get no credit. Because it's political science not medical science driving this administration.

  2.  @swiftlytiltingplanet8481  numbers are suspect. Based off zero. Would not be allowed in a 6th grade science fair. Reality is, that states, cities that reacted responsibly. Protect the most vulnerable, quarantine where and when necessary till surge has passed. Aggressive testing and monitoring then respond. Treatment for those affected before they require hospitalization. You know medical science, common sense. Not bury your head in the sand and push a silver bullet that turns out to be rubber in the long run. Maybe even a blank down the road. Real numbers show this 2 years into it. Shutdown cities and states are far worse off than those that took science based and practical, common sense approach. Despite the massive influx of people fleeing the shutdown areas and the President's dumping thousands of illegal border crossers, untested, unvaccinated into these areas. Undisclosed to local health officials And having an estimated positive rate around 20%. Vaccine was created for Delta variant for some time, yet the keep pushing one who's efficacy drops daily. We were told and still are, it would be like flu shots, adjusted as variants arose. They say they have but aren't releasing it. Why? Science and numbers also say that mortality is less than 1%. Out of that 1% over half already had pre existing conditions or mitigating circumstances. Ie. Not in the best of health. Good health is not propogate by lockdowns. That's another fact. Why do you think today as we are hitting record highs in hospitalizations, infections and deaths in some of the highest vaccinated areas in the country. They are still pushing to "normalize " life? Think about it.
