The wreath is also a sign of our remembrance, respect to those who served. A symbol of what is good in all mankind. And their efforts were not in vain nor forgotten.
To twist that into something hideous is a sign of ignorance or mental illness.
It's akin to taking a compliment as an insult, a gracious greeting as a sign of disdain.
They either don't/refuse to understand it's meaning and/or somehow twist it in their heads to suit their paranoia. That everyone is against them. Because misery loves company.
Acts, of kindness, respect, remembrance, gratitude no matter what language, religion, belief are just that. People giving the best of themselves the way they know how.
To take it as an offensive gesture even after it was explained it wasn't.
Shows a clear sign of some sort of mental issues. And a good explanation of society's breakdown.
When gestures with nothing but good intentions are labeled bad and banned.
But violence, acts of depravity, ignorance are not only accepted but encouraged.
We've seen this before. Let's not repeat past mistakes.
Sad.
