  2. This one more example of government screwing up a profitable venture. USPS and it workers are for the most part the finest. (EVERY ROSE HAS ITS THORNS) Misleading is this narrative of history. It was democrats that initially screamed unfair voting due to mail restructuring. When issues had nothing to do about mail . But the issuing of ballots sent by mail. Also USPS criticism rose dramatically over holidays because of delays. While Fed Ex and Ups flat out refused certain services. The postal service took on an estimated 6million extra parcels a day. A feat in itself. And that retirement money. Ask Obama and Pelosi where it's at today. Call fed ex today. As I did. Trying to tell them they delivered a package to the wrong address. After a half a dozen tries by phone and internet. Their automated help debacle was useless. USPS can and will be an essential service. And can make a break even par. If not for government, Republican or Democrat raiding the funds. The same for social security. Shoe shopping is not an option when your dealing with people's retirement or livelihoods. I respect my mail carrier. He's always kind and polite. Works long hours and extremely efficient. Days he's off, mail us 1 to 4 hrs later. Deserves every cent he gets. And then some.
