  1. Why fight audits then? Why use the DOJ as your personal legal attack dog against political opposition. Or threaten audits. They are standard operating procedure in every aspect of government, business and private finances. Aimed at finding flaws so they can be fixed. Or confirming a well done job. Either way. Would think DOJ should be encouraging them. Because audits are after truth. Or is that irrelevant to them? Or worse yet frighten them?
