It's so funny. Makes him feel like his intellectual bullies. Joe's rich, he should take an intro A&P course, along nuero. Also, a pharmadynamics or pharmacokinetics would be necessary. Perhaps a substance use disorder class too. Then he would be stuck on this term lol.

real 93 Yeah, I dont know what everyone's talking about w tripping off edibles. Thats foreign to me. Granted, eating it is an entirely different buzz. I have a tincture that I fuck w from time to time and its strong as fuck. I suppose if I took enough I'd trip, I guess. But everytime i take mushrooms or acid it's off to the wiggly realm of geometrics, everytime. Dont fuck w DMT anymore through. Joe's an outlier, because he started doing all this shit in his late 20s and early 30s. I stared in 9th grade w all my friends lol.

@ninjabrox when you say, "you" do you literally mean me, or are you speaking in general? Dude, I've eaten so many various types of edibles and make no mistake, I have been annihilated. I just dont have fun with it when it's too strong. The tolerance gods up and up and up immediately. As I said, I guess if I ate 500mgs of sativa edibles I'd probably trup, but I dont find that type of buds enjoyable. Mushrooms are by far my favorite psychedelic.

EXACTLY. I've never experienced a drug that builds tolerance to quickly. Fuckin edibles! Plus, they're so damn expensive too. I just make my own tinctures. In NYC, a little bag of trolls gummy sour worms, a small bag (about 8 pieces) is like $30. Which means, it's two decent doses. Too fucking much. I can tell, it's a matter of getting older and losing my connected to the streets. Alright, going to see my first patient. Have a good one, guys!

@Peace-Love-Light My point is that I don't like an intense edible affect. It's just not appealing to me. And mind you, I've taken LSD and shrooms at least 100 times total and DMT a few times in my 30s; plus, smoked herb for decades. But the edible buzz is only appealing to me in moderate doses. As I said before, I guess I didnt take enough -- you guys convinced me -- just not my thing. And I understand the pharmacokinetic side, regarding the liver processing THC molecules and converting them into 11-Hydroxyδ9 THC, which provides a psychedelic effect. I'm just not into a hardcore edible buzz, especially now, I dont

@squirlmy most substance use disorder agencies use LMSWs and some LCSWs. In NYS, you'll see CASAC counselors as part of the staff as well. And I didnt literally mean he should take college classes. However, any reputable school w intro A&P and Neuro is no fuckin joke. When you finish those courses ones understanding of how the brain functions is rather thorough (i.e., you can hold a convo w specialists without being totally lost). And Sub Use Classes at the school I went to have a program that required the most core credits than any other program. Granted, an associates degree in said program is not an adequate education to take on an average case load of patients, but most schools do a damn good job of having those students prepared for the field, because state oversight IS UP THEIR ASSES. A 350hr internship, along w 7000hrs of clinical training hrs is solid. In short, someone interested in learning about the brain and how its effected by drugs, who takes A&P I & II, Neuro, intro to Sub Use Disorder and pharmadynamics has a pretty damn good understanding of what's happening to an individual during autointoxication. So I disagree.

@dudemanbroguy3464 I have to agree w you for the most part. BUT, I did read a research journal about people who's receptors naturally block the neuro transmitters that will create the affect. The neurotransmitters continually go through reuptake at the synaptic cleft and also try to synthesize through the barriers between the receptors (like some do), but they can't. It's a small percentage of people this happens to. However, typically, it doesnt usually have the same effect w smoking, because the THCa is converted differently when absorbed through the lungs and sent to the blood stream. The synthesis and route of administration dictates what type of high one will experience or if they get high at all. With all that said, still dont believe him lol. It's like 1 out of 500 people this happens too.
