  5. I took a British lit class during my undergrad and pretty much everything from 1800-1880 has anti-masturbation themes or at least undertones. Even a lot of the poetry was about keeping your cock in time out. Hilarious times.

In the quote, "The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist;" if the word "Devil" is replaced by "God" and "didn't" is dropped from the phrase, we arrive at an equally detrimental idiology.
