  1. The cultural complexity of today is unique and toxic. Folks have no fucking clue how good they got it. I'll admit, some people don't have an equal opportunity in terms of exercising social upward mobility, but even if you're from the lowest earning quintile you "technically" have the ability to thrive in the West. We see it all the time; granted, it's not the norm, but it happens enough. In autocratic, militaristic and/or class societies that shit is virtually IMPOSSIBLE. As I said, shit ain't fair for everyone, but if the far-left knuckleheads get what they want it's gonna destroy our democracy and if the far-right nationalist retards get their way we'll become isolationists and eventually succumb to the dominance of another world power. We're on the precipice of some nasty shit! Or maybe super AI will simply vanquish us from the globe haha!
