@grubbybum3614 It was confirmed that that sign was used as a nationalist white power hand signal. That's irrefutable. If you deny that then perhaps some research is in store? The problem w Jamie's accusations are that they were assumptions and never confirmed. And it wasnt the "okay sign," it was the sign for that stupid game. I remember playing that shit during the 90s w my friends in middle and high school; we'd fuck w each other endlessly. But in fairness to Jamie's: I dont do that dumb shit anymore and I'm not sure why any adult would. Any sign or symbol shown upside down suggests distress. It wasn't this:👌 it was this symbol upside down. I'm not a faggot PC-SJW, Democrat, or conspiracy theorist, but I'm also not down with separatism and other racial shit -- not saying that's what this was this picture indicated -- but we should also not be naive sheep. In this case, there were no facts, just assumptions and conjecture made by Jamie, but it wasnt absurdly irrational either.

@aerialzetro7196 not familiar w a time stamp lol?

@gh-ev9vi EXACTLY!!!!!!!!!

@gh-ev9vi y You're 100% correct! It was some high level trolling though -- not your average street troll. So convincing of an effort -- as a matter of fact -- that 'some' racists and 'many' SJWs thought it was legitimate. Many others fell for that shit too. I admittedly had no clue wtf was going haha. Did you read the long article on the matter, from that unbiased/neutral source? Its absolutely hilarious.

@robr135 I did not say that. You're trying to strawman me and shoot ad hominem nonsense at me. As a matter of fact, I'm an LMSW, currently working on my clinical. I was/ a social researcher for close to a decade. I'm a psychotherapeutic practitioner now. I'm not saying you may not be correct on the historical claims you're making, but as the other guy said in this thread, 4Chan started this awhile as trolling campaign directed towards the far left.

MNI Andes How do you arrive at this conclusion, after I vividly described the order and intent behind the act?

@aceof8S I'm not sure my syntax can be described as weird. Perhaps, it is written poorly, stodgy and/or inconcise, which is why so many of you misconstrued my primary point. Here are some bullets. I'm hoping this will vanquish any remaining confusion (I'll present a PowerPoint if this does not work 😉); central points are as follows: •The symbol was used as a joke when I was younger •4Chan introduced the symbol as a symbol of white power, in an attempt to troll. It worked! Eventually, over the course of a few weeks, both white supremacists and SJWs fell for the joke and believed it represented white power. •Clearly, over the yrs the okay symbol has been used to mean many different things, but I grew up in a time when it was used to play the game -- most people know of the symbol for the same reason. •I'll admit, a few response was a bit all over the place 😂

@grubbybum3614 Dude, no haha Lol I just said that its NOT. Look, brief period there was a trend of the symbol being a sign of white nationalism racism (the upside down 👌 symbol). It was total fucking bullshit. However, because the bullshit was spread on the internet, some Arian and KKK members started doing it because they thought it was a sign of racism (for only a few months). Its actually quite hilarious.

MNI Andes I'm not reacting anyway other than level-headed. At least that's how I see it lol. The reason I responded is fo bring attention to the craziness that is aligned w people still breaking Jamie's balls over something he said over a yr ago and it wasnt that big of a deal. And I'm not white knighting Jamie, but wtf, hes an evil leftist because he wasnt open to the joke and succumbed to his liberal tendencies haha? Trust me, when it first came out, no one knew it was a trolling move. EVERYONE FELL FOR IT and for those who didn't: they are either oblivious or didnt give a fuck about political-social related issues.

@aceof8S "Copy & paste" haha 👏🤣 My thoughts are expressed clearly through my writing, while you're struggling to produce one coherent sentence. Get your syntax up. But what are your panties in a bunch for anyway? Essentially, my claim is neutral, so why the agitation? And what I said IS irrefutable. Do you read and/or know how a search engine functions?

Toori Baba totally, brah! 🤟

@YouGottaShootEmInTheHead fair enough, I'll check it out

@grubbybum3614 No lol. I think the exact opposite 🤦♂️

@gh-ev9vi dude, why are all of you assuming I thing it's exclusively a white supremacist sign? I said, I played the game when I was a kid. I've used it outside of the game to indicate okay. All I meant is that the statement by Jamie made it seem as if the symbol was only based in hatred. And yes, I know, 4chan did that. Along w a lot of other shit. Love those guys haha!

@Vichedges bro, you clearly didnt read my comment entirely or you wouldnt have said this. I totally fuckin agree with you. But if you're wondering, yes, it was used as a sign of white power. That doesnt automatically mean it cant be used to symbolize anything else.

@aceof8S I've been called worse. Thanks for the compliment

@YouGottaShootEmInTheHead I'm assuming it's been used to mean a multitude of different things
