@patbateman69420 , I totally understand what he's saying, but it doesn't come off like utopianism to you? This world has seen multiple governments over the years and the only one that seems to work in the most fair manner for its citizens is Democratic Capitalism. How could his ideas be implimented before sucombing to dysfunction? Outrage is a victim of its own ambiguity. People forget that what is currently in place is the closest we are going to get to true freedom. Churchill said something to this effect, "Democracy is the worst form of government, except for all the others." It's not a perfect system, but it's fair. Sure, there is a lowest earning quintile that is solidified in our culture because of systemic poverty, inequality, racism, oppression, etc., but this guy is a supporter of anarchism. And yes, I know, it's not the anarchy that most stigmatized, but it's only been proven to stabilize in small villages in the jungles of South America. Perhaps, I'm misrepresenting his talking points, but he seems to be rather clear on what he is proposing. Do a quick Google -- he's a bonehead.

Conspiracy theorists -- you're just as much a part of the problem as anyone, if not moreso. Although, I'm glad you are out there, because you do add balance to the political spectrum. However, to think that every facet of government is corrupt is conjecture and speculative at best. I suppose you have the economic and poli-sci background to layout a structure for us that is free of warts; something that works for all of us? You guys are calling everyone sheep, because they vote and have some faith in our political system? I got news for ya, pal, sheep in a capitalistic democracy are necessary, because we have to live amongst one another. Disorder and these wild notions of fighting against the machine are childish in a society such as ours. Do we all veer off in different directions and let the world crumble behind us? Sometimes, it takes far more courage to compromise for your fellow man than play the role of a quasi rebel that opposes everything and has no realistic resolution to any of the problems they bitch about. What is it EXACTLY that positions the West; or let's narrow it, just the US in a way that alters the current trajectory we're on? I'm not being combative or trying to get some pointless inflammatory conversation going, I'm genuinly curious to read your reply. And of course you cannot solve our problems in a YouTube comment section, so state one resolution that is not utopian and something that can be attained within a half century? Why not just vote in polititions that will simply take the highest earning quintile and implement free market strategies amongst the private businesses maneuvering within their fat cat industries? Make big businesses in the auto industry and big pharma compete w one another instead of harboring technology until tax payers have to pay them to release newly developed products that they've had for over a decade, which is what we allow them to get away with. For instance, remember when the push for better fuel economy was such a big issue? Pay the first company that develops and mass produces a better product. This will light a fire under the asses of R&D departments within these massive industries and lower the prices of their products because they'll have to be more competitive to survive. Treat the 1% like everyone else. Here's a startling fact and the numbers are accessible to public domain: 40 yrs ago, the average real manual compensation of the top ten 100 chief executives was 1.3 million dollars: 39 times the pay of the average worker in the US. Today, it is nearly 50.5 million dollars, 1000 times the average working citizen. ENTIRELY UNACCEPTABLE. And I'm not bummed out about my life. I make a great salary and nearly all my school loans are paid. My little girl is healthy and I love the work I do. We don't all have pent up frustration about out lives and it isn't about complacency or being a naive sheep.

People in western democracies have become so jaded that the idea of "not voting" has somehow manifested into a favorable option. There's been so much bloodshed in fighting for this right and people are simply disregarding said privilege, because they haven't lived under a non-democratic government. You fools.
