  1. And for the same reason Islamics dont eat pork. It's not that pigs are a filthy creature (as is suggested), but that the authors of the Koran (Quran) wrote the text when pigs were the carriers of deadly diseases at the period -- environmental consequences, not issues associated with the safty of the animals flesh per se. Abrahamic doctrines are about as silly as it gets.
