Making a good tool is not that expensive (material costs between all those tested vary by 1-3 dollars)... it's advertising and profit that makes things expensive (+ even the payments for social media commentary that cherish their tools in comments) I still own the same tools I inherited from my father... they might need some work (resharpening / reshaping) but still do their job

  3. We here in Germany use full rubber hoses for professional use: = no plastic just rubber they are usable for 30+ years It's branded "Goldschlange"

  4. If you need a hose that lasts for years, search for a quality rubber hose with brass fittings. They are expensive, but last for generations

  8.  @leonardmilcin7798  I usually (when I need a tool) go to a workshop or ask a contractor for their opinion (be aware to choose locations or people that are in business for a long time) .... if you tip them a beer or two, they usually are happy to share their opinions
