  1. .... actually, it is not sure that Trump could pardon himself. That would be a first. Nemo judex in causa sua ("no-one is judge in his own cause.") is a basic principle of law. I am sure there would be multiple challenges if Trump tries to pardon himself. If he tries, he surely will align himself in that moment with authoritarian dictators that disobey any and all rules
