Basically this man is saying that the right of children to live can sometimes be overlooked and they can in fact be slaughtered with perfect peace of conscience in the case that some acquaintance or neighbour of their parents happens to be a criminal.

@constantchange1145 I would suggest: certainly stop the slaughter, then focus on getting the hostages free through negotiations (for instance offering in return the end of the siege), at the same time call for some serious international interposition force to overlook the interruption of violence and prevarication from both sides and on all fronts, including the West Bank. In due time, those responsible for atrocities such as those of 07 October should be arrested and brought to the International Criminal Court just as any other war criminal.

@mhk9063 Nice that you agree that everyone should want this, whether they also would it does not really seem the case at the moment. To answer your question, I suppose that they should fire back as long as that is the only way to not be killed on the spot, or to avoid the killing on the spot of civilians under their protection, and no they should certainly not be allowed to kill civilians themselves in retaliation and certainly not as a form of prevention from hypothetical attacks in the future. I would also say that any serious attack would above all indicate a serious failure and a need to urgently revise the necessary diplomatic efforts that must continuously accompany such a mission. I am not saying that any of this would be easy or even close to be easy, but I would argue that the main obstacles here are not the risks but the political will.
