  7. Texas refused to be a part of the nationalgrud instead choosing to privatize. This made several wealthy owners rich because they can set their own rates and cut costs by not adhering to federal guidelines like weatherization. Separate grids means power can't be sent from neighboring states in the event of an emergency. Green power wasn't adopted in any substantial sense because of the hold Big Oil has on Texas. Is that the admission you were looking for?
