Domestic terrorists is more accurate than vigilantes.
8
You use the word, "patriot," to describe domestic terrorists.
6
Imagine being called vigilantes for taking the law into your own hands and pretending you have any authority to act on behalf of the US government.
4
Nothing says patriotism quite like opposing the US government, endangering yourself and others, and taking the law into your own hands!
2
Which part of the government issues the regulations and/or authorizes the militia?
2
@timc9893 you could read our Constitution yourself. It's publicly available.
2
Domestic terrorists call themselves a militia because they think it legitimizes their extremism.
1
Right? These asshats are domestic terrorists, not vigilantes!
1
Timothy McVeigh considered himself a patriot, too.
1
Geese patriots?
1
Did they use the wrong pronouns for the guns?!?
1
Melitia? Is that a euphemism for grown men playing dress up and trying to menace people?
1
According to the US Constitution, the regulations for a well-regulated militia come directly from Congress. Surprising, I know! It also says your disqualified from holding public office if you engage in insurrection or provide aid and comfort to insurrectionists. Crazy!
1
Trump just begged Republicans to vote against border security and Abbott just got slapped by the SCOTUS. Both are anti-American.
1
@LAST_1_OF_Us you might want to read the US Constitution sometime...
1
@zytebac no. Why would I mean that? That's a dimwitted justification for vigilantism.
1
@timc9893 you'd have to be blindingly stupid to see it that way. Is that how you see it?
1
@dameyonealons7085 according the US Constitution, the regulations for a well-regulated militia comes from Congress.
1
@godssara6758 the US Constitution is longer than half of the one sentence that makes up the Second Amendment.
1
These vigilantes are also likely minute men. Dressing up and playing soldier isn't a great sign for their manhood.
1
People are quick to say they're unlawful simply because they're acting as though they have the right and authority to interpret and enforce the law. I ask you, is it wrong to defy a law if you think breaking it means you get to dress up and play soldier with your friends?
1
Timothy McVeigh considered himself a patriot, too.
1
You, the nutcase, may support vigilantism, but most Americans are law-abiding.
1
@annsky67 are you suggesting I also act as though I'm qualified to interpret our immigration laws??
1
Well-regulated militias are under the control of Congress, according to the US Constitution.
1
Another instance of FOX News promoting lawlessness. Should we assume Greg Abbott is also endorsing this stunt?
1
FOX referred to them as vigilantes instead of domestic terrorists because they knew the snowflakes were going to cry about it.
1
Would you say you're full of awe?
1
You can play dress up and menace people now, you don't have to sign up anywhere.
1
Abbott pays them in fentanyl.
