  3. That's not even remotely what happened. We were in a recession when President Biden took office and then our economy surged. The inflation is caused by increased production costs and increased demand. Had the previous administration not instituted tariffs that crippled American industries and catastrophically mismanaged the pandemic, we might have had a chance at avoiding our current scenario.
