  1. They're characterized as entertainment, Hector. Their message is dangerous and wrongheaded but entertaining lies are more popular than sourced news and most of their viewership is old (60+) and cut off from the world. They trust TV and don't know they're being manipulated. Plus FOX fearmongers and feeds their audience tripe that they're being misled by other networks to keep everyone identifying with their captor. It's a sad state but the FOX audience will die before they disbelieve the messaging.
