  1.  @BootStrapTurnerVideography  hollow rhetoric is no substitute for substantive policy. If your options are dying or trying your luck in America, most people choose life. We do benefit from immigration and not just from the workforce. (We benefit from illegal immigration, too, but don't tell fascist-leaning folks that prefer to blame their problems on 'illegals'.) Most countries have a consistent path and approach but ours changes with administration and congressional leadership or stalls into deadlock and no policy. It would be nice if it could solved simply but we've successfully made a complex situation needlessly more complex.

  3.  @guidedmeditation2396  Trump promised a wall paid for by Mexico, it was not. Trump promised a wall would be constructed, it was not. Existing fencing was updated with some new fencing but wind took down sections, immigrants climbed over or cut into some and poor placement caused the base of some to erode and collapse. Promises made, rubes believed.

  4.  @guidedmeditation2396  I'd like to see holistic immigration reform enacted into policy that cannot be undone. Prescient, anticipatory policy can be written and we can avoid it becoming a political football if it is the law of the land. There's a lot of smart people in Washington more invested in arguing than good governance. I pay their salaries and I want their absolute best policy decisions to occur.

  5. No, it didn't. It was an antiquated and ineffective symbol that was being built to embezzle money. Steve Bannon was pardoned by Trump for his role in that scheme.
