The University of Toronto granted amnesty to all Pro-Hamas protesters at the 2 month encampment held at the school. To all students, all professors, all unions. I quit 2 days ago. After almost 12 years of working there, this was the final straw. They are ACTIVELY protecting terrorist sympathizers under the aegis of the right to protest.

prof.jezebel I've been through a lot at the university, mostly dealing with personal interactions (harassment being one of them). The encampment and the amnesty decision proved to be something I couldn't tolerate. I had to leave. When the protection of the entity (in this case, the university itself) becomes paramount over the people that want to work in an environment that isn't detrimental to their health, one has to choose themselves, imo.

@HistorymysteryX The reason that these students were granted amnesty is twofold: Their relative affluence How much money they bring to the school When was the last time you heard of any political leader, especially those deemed "revolutionary", who was poor? None. The poor/peasants are kept as fodder. Many of these students will go on to graduate work and will become teachers at the school or other universities. Guaranteed.

But the truckers were not: Demanding the country of Canada be destroyed Threatening one specific group with annihilation For 2 months the terrorist sympathizers on the campus committed the following: Threatened Jewish students Called for intifada Had posters of known terrorist groups Had late night rallies demanding the destruction of Israel and its Jewish/Zionist inhabitants All of this was captured by ONE news group and they were ignored because they are conservative. Campus police were designated as protection for these groups When one Jewish student decided to hold his own protest he was immediately removed and told he was trespassing.
