  2. In the developing world I would agree. Unfortunately in the West, the unions have become little more than an office within the corporations they interact with and tend to capitulate to whatever whims the company has. Unions should always be a separate entity to the corporations they deal with. Look at most Western collectives and you will see a 98%-2% split between the corporations power and the unions. I would also argue smaller independent unions have greater power in that they are not beholden to the bureaucracy of larger PARENTING unions.
