As long as you're denigrating Fascism/Nazism, you're okay. If you denigrate socialism/communism, they have an issue. I learned that when I turned in a term essay. The prof actually gave me a good mark but made a point of stating that socialism/communism pulled people out of poverty (I had mentioned the millions murdered by these systems). It was a paper on cults. I titled it : The S(hell) Game

@xavierdaume2757 Most in the "humanities" lean in one direction. One of the major unions in Ontario used to keep 2 giant portraits at their head office. One of Lenin. One of Mao. Canada has been a quasi socialistic state since the first Trudeau era. It's become much worse under his son, who has his father's dictatorial bent, but none of his father's intelligence.

@madzkev3100 His answer was: people did what they had to do in order to survive. They desperately needed an alternative to what they had before. It was weird. I received an A but he had to add that little zinger about communism/socialism specifically but not Nazism/fascism. They were bad (obviously) but the other iteration(s) received a pass. I was also told it would NEVER be produced as a documentary, should I choose to do so.

@madzkev3100 The majority of humanity is very good at excusing its inherent immorality when it comes to its own survival. Why have morals at all.
