  6. I was given a free pass as a Crimble gift and I...walked out after 45 minutes. It was written for 7 year olds. Execrable. The benchmark in this franchise still remains A New Hope and Empire, films made with craft and care. I would call it garbage, but garbage can actually have a purpose(shit, for instance, can fertilize). This is the movie equivalent of cancer.

  8. It's one ugly movie. I saw this in the theater when it came out. I was 26 and even then, I got it. I only needed to see it once. One of the best movies ever made about alienation and how society THRIVES on it. THRIVES on it.

Griffith. D.W. Griffith was, for all intents and purposes; a racist. He even made the KKK the heroes in that first blockbuster; Birth Of A Nation. He is the FATHER of modern motion picture making. He lives and breaths in every frame. Gonna stop making movies? Gonna stop watching them? THEN STOP BANNING THEM! STOP ALTERING THEM! KEEP YOUR FUCKING HANDS OFF OF OTHER PEOPLES STUFF! Get it?

  12. Westworld is essentially working towards Roy Batty's final monologue in Blade Runner... ...only it's going to take 5 or 6 seasons to get there. Why? Everything that Drinker stated. Watch Blade Runner instead, a work of art that only took 2 hours to say the same thing.

  14. The vast vast vast majority of directors are HACKS and this has been true for well over a century. For every artist (there's been about 2 dozen over 100 years) you get hacks. They win Academy Awards, they get paid handsomely, they settle in...and they have no more connection to an Ozu or a Hawks or a Coppola or a Kurosawa than they do to an amoeba. Phillips is a hack, as are most modern Hollywood directors. 1% artist 5% workman/carpenters 94% hacks
