When I was 8, I drew pictures of Superman, pirate ships, rockets, airplanes.
I got hurt running around.
Stitches. Missing fingernails. Cuts. Bruises.
Now we have playdates for kids?
In the summer, when I was 10, I would get on my bike and ride and wouldn't come home for hours.
Exploration of nature, by yourself or with friends, was important.
Now the child, up until the age of 10, is in a car seat?
🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

@PensivePukeko I get it.
No, I don't.
Millions of children survived car wrecks for decades before it was decided to strap them in to car seats.
Under 6, sure, go ahead.
After 7, in my opinion, you're keeping your child infantilized.
That's disgusting, regardless of what the "experts" say about safety.
Do they have child safety seats on buses? Planes?
🙄
Also, parents were more apt to drive safer decades ago compared to today.
A Scottish scientist stated that once they decided to make cars "safer", peoples driving skills declined, and not for the better.
Once modern adults and teen drivers saw that the CAR would save them, their driving skills became garbage.
So it is with child car seats.
Ever notice that most "experts" will tell you to REPLACE the child seat, even in a minor accident...
